Pink Snacks
Cinnamon Apple Sauce

Pink Peppermint Sugar Cookie Hearts
Mix your favorite sugar cookie recipe with crushed up left-over candy canes. Or you can probably find a very discounted box of candy canes at the local drugstore or grocery store. Keep half of the dough plane and add finely crushed peppermint candy canes to the other half of the dough.
Roll into tubes and twist one plain tube with a peppermint tube. Shape into hearts and bake.
White and Red Cake
Make a boxed white cake mix in a rectangular pan. After it has completely cooled, make some jello. While the water for the Jell-o is boiling, use a fork to pole holes through the cake, making sure the fork fully penetrates the cake, making deep holes, without removing the cake.
Subtract one quarter cup of water from the Jello-recipe. Pour the hot liquid Jello-o on top of the cake. This may sound funny, and it may look like the cake will be one big soggy mess, but it won't be. It will be the moistest cake you've ever had.
Refrigerate and serve with your favorite whipped topping.
This recipe can also be made with low-sugar cake mix and sugar-free Jell-o.
Use cherry Jell-o for a red cake, or watermelon Jell-o for a pink cake.
Red Velvet Cake
You can now buy Red Velvet Cake mix at the supermarket. The store-bought Red Velvet Cake mixes contain a lot of red dye, and the cake can be bothersome to sensitive stomachs. Try not to serve this type of cake to a loved one who may have a sensitive stomach ,especially if you are looking forward to a romantic Valentine's Day.
Red Food Coloring
One or two drops of red food coloring can also be used to color foods pink. Add to mashed potatoes, frosting, sour cream, or any other white foods that you want to turn pink.
Dessert Decorations
Decorate any Valentine's Day desserts with leftover colored red sugar from Christmas, red M & Ms, NECCO SweetHearts, Dove chocolate hearts, or cinnamon red hots.
